When I first got my enthusiastic water drinkingr dog, I used a small fabric mat, like a small rug, under the bowls. Like his "placemat". His splashy style of drinking from his water bowl always left water on the mat, which never dried out. Eventually it started to warp the hardwood underneath.Then I switched to a rubbery(?) kind of pet food placemat that prevents water penetration to the floor underneath. But that mat was always had water overflow on it that didn't dry up.I found this one here on Amazon and it seemed like it would be the perfect solution... a fabric-y top layer that gets wet but doesn't hold puddles like the rubber mat and quickly dries out, with a waterproof underlayer (doesn't allow water penetration). It is PERFECT. Hardest thing was deciding which of the several colors and/or patterns to pick!Print is nice, vibrant, and true to what is shown.i got this for my Mum & it was perfectThese are rather flimsy and not my ultimate solution for floor protection, but water does not seep through. I fear the waterproof backing may separate in the washing machine gentle cycle, so these will be hand wash, hang dry only.Waterproof and beautiful for my living room!The material was not necessarily what I expected but the size is exactly what I was needing for my cat's food area. The pattern of the mat is nice and bright. It seems nice and absorbent if water is spilled.Beautiful, perfect size for one cat, but unfortunately cheap quality.I have not washed it yet, but I have a feeling that it’s not going to hold up well after being washed a few times.I would like this better if it had been a little bigger. My two pups make a mess and this isn’t big enough to contain it.Seems a bit flimsy, but print quality is pretty good.I went for this because of its cute pattern, but I'm incredibly disappointed in its quality. It feels cheap and light. When it arrived, it was stapled together to keep it folded, and despite me being ever-so-careful in removing the staple, it still left an ugly puncture and tear in the mat.I can't get it to at flat after it being folded, since it is more of a foam-y product, the wrinkles in it are severe enough that even if I were to get it to lay flat, the wrinkles themselves have permanently cut into and warped the design.Gave it a try and laid it down with the bowls on top and it just doesn't look great. Looks cheap, and because it is being laid on carpet with the weight of bowls on top, the weighted parts get pushed down into the carpet and the edges that aren't held down lift up. Won't even stay flat on the floor.I'll be returning.I bought this product because my dog's water dish spilling over has buckled the laminate flooring underneath it. I had a "grip" mat before but it wasn't waterproof as I thought unfortunately. This mat is waterproof, also dries quickly, and stays looking nice versus the previous mat I had. Thumbs up for this one!My cats pulls on his mats even if they have food or water. He doesn't pull this one as it is so then and grips to floor. A whole bowl of water was spilled and mat absorbed it all. I have bought more to use and all six are good quality. Pretty pattern. Super absorbent and dry really fast especially if you hang them outside.Nothing like the picture in color. It is blue/ navy not grey. Material is different than the picture too. Came with a tag stapled to it, almost made a hole in the mat trying to get the staple out. Very cheaply made, not worth the money.
