These are great, comfortable boots. Through no fault of Oboz, I decided to buy a pair that were marked down about $20 from full price here on Amazon. They were sold by an outside seller and when they arrived I realized they were cosmetic seconds or defects. One boot is much darker than the other. I don’t mind too much, I’ll keep them. But beware. Those odd boots on sale may have something wrong with them.Really great shoe.Was concerned, initially, after reading some reviews stating to get the wide version, but after using them for several months now, I am glad that I got the regulars (size 12). Feet don't slide around inside the boot at all. And along with the great tread these have, it really making traversing down slopes (as well as up) much more confident inspiring.Build is great. I've really come to like the laces too , as I have had to re-tie a shoe lace only once.Does a good job keeping water out, with the only slight drawback being the breathability. Which is really going to be an expected sacrifice for having that waterproof liner, anyways, so not much of a "drawback", imo.Most I have sent on a pair of shoes, but I am already pretty set on getting another pair as soon as I wear these ones out.Oboz be making some pretty awesome shoes!Bought these for hiking and spent five days hiking the national parks in Utah. I didn't bother with breaking them in. They fit like a glove right out of the box. I probably hiked 30 miles over that time frame and on many types of terrain. These boots performed perfectly. No negatives.Hot in summer. Ankle support is on the low side. Good traction. Light weight.Yes, they are very light; as in: flimsy, not as durable as one would expect for the price. Also, the medium width was much wider than is normal for Oboz. No matter how much I tightened them they felt sloppy within minutes and gave me blisters. First pair of Oboz that I have been disappointed with.This is a beautiful boot, but unfortunately it just didn't fit my foot properly and i had to return.I’ve never had a hiking boot fit this well right out of the box. Every other boot has required an aftermarket insole to be truly comfortable for me. This boot needed nothing! Very little break-in was needed either. Light weight with exceptional fit and comfort!I had heard good things about Oboz, and after a lot of research I bought the Sypes Mid Leather....and I'm very glad I did. Based on an earlier trial at a local shop I ordered a full size larger than my street shoes and with thick socks the fit was really good. They're comfortable as hell, light weight, and clearly well-made. The color leans more green than I anticipated but I'm more concerned with quality and fit than I am color. Highly recommended.
