This is my 2nd pair of the Sawtooth. My foot is on the narrow side of B width, with a high arch and narrow heel. I also wear a custom orthotic for tendonitis. I have tried a fair number of other brands and have returned most of them. These boots are softer, but very supportive. No break in time. The last pair of boots that fit this well were Asolo and that was at least 30 years ago.I wear my Oboz 3 seasons and sometimes into the early winter or early spring with crampons. Hike mostly on foot paths where it can get boggy, trails and some rock- 4-5 days a week. Never had a problem with them not being water proof. Had to retire the old pair because the tread wore down and started to pull away from the sole. Glued it and still wear them for yardwork...mowing etc.I have bought these before, so I knew they would fit. I, also know they are going away, so, hence ordering another pairI originally purchased these from a different company and my normal 8 was a half size too small but only at the front of my toes. The shoe has a lot of padding and my toes had some room but I could not stretch them. I did more research and found out it’s best to order a half size up. The 8.5 was perfect and shipping was fast through Amazon. I got them in time for hiking and trail riding through decently rough terrain. The shoes got dirty but still look brand new after a week of moderate use in Colorado. That included walking over rocks. I never twisted my ankle which I’m prone to do and my feet stayed dry and safe. My feet didn’t get overheated in the 90 plus degree weather and stayed comfortable in cooler weather/ higher altitudes. The shoes are very high quality and sturdy. (The only thing I wish is that they would be MADE in the USA. The company prides themselves in being American but the shoes are made in Vietnam ?.) If you do any downhill hiking, you really want extra room in the toe bed or your toes are going to suffer. The right fit is imperative! Overall, I am pleased and would repurchase from this brand again.have only worn one day hiking. I bought based on brothers review of best ever hiking boot. My toes felt a little crowded towards the end of the day. I had bought a half size larger than I usually take, because all other boots do the same. I think my feet must swell!! I will write again after they have been broken in properly. I also ordered my husband some and will get his review after he has worn awhile.I am writing this review five months after purchase. We are having a wintery winter, and these oboz sawtooth waterproof are warm and dry when I walk in snowy streets. I am in love with oboz....I bought a pair of low oboz sawtooth last spring...I have a foot tendon injury and I need to wear sneakers carefully, not roll my foot (it has slowly healed from an injury)....after it is fully healed and I have no pain, I will STILL wear my oboz low, in the summer, and the high ones for warmth and waterproof in the winter. They cushion, they support, they have great traction. They aren't as heavy as they may look. I liked Merrill and Keen okay...but Oboz is my brand.I am new to hiking boots and was not sure I would like them. The brand was recommended by a hiking group. I thought I might need a wide but went with a regular and as suggested half larger than my regular shoe size. I love these boots. Been breaking them. The fit and comfort amaze me.Such a comfortable hiking boot. Easy to break in, still comfy after very long, difficult hikes. I’ve tried many different brands, but for me, Oboz have been the best fit, longest lasting and most comfortable.I love the fit and feel of my Oboz but they are falling apart way too quickly. The boots pictured are 2 months old with less than 150 miles of hiking on them. The rubber toe caps peeled off both shoes in the first month. The boots look much older than they are, and seriously beaten up. I contacted the vender; their response was that they do not warranty "wear & tear". Do not buy these boots! They do not stand up and the vender does not stand behind the product. By comparison, my previous hiking boots lasted 3 seasons and over 1000 miles before they fell apart.Got half size bigger and they are perfect! Fit like a glove and so comfortable didn't need breaking in. Completely waterproof .Highly delighted as I wear them everyday. Worth every penny.Great heal grip good strong lightweight boot
